Energizing or sleepy?
Mostly calming, with a lift at the start. Leafly places Black Cherry Gelato on the calming side of its scale, Weedmaps ties its indica-leaning reputation to a deeper body calm, and AllBud and Cookies list sleepy or sedating effects, while most sources describe an upbeat, euphoric first stage.1,2,3,4 Listings for the same cross differ: Leafly gives Cherry Gelato creative and euphoric among its top effects and Black Cherry Gushers energetic and giggly (see genetics).6,7
Why two batches can feel different
Potency alone varies: one in ten lab-tested batches came in under 18.31% THC and one in ten above 27.65%.8 Add accounts that trace the strain to different Gelato cuts and a cross that Leafly lists under three names, and two jars labelled Black Cherry Gelato can be noticeably different flower.1,5,6,7
